A window along Wukang Road, a woven pattern or the curve of a leaf can become the first mark in a sketchbook. Ask how a car is designed and how a ceramic shape is made, then take your ideas to Jingdezhen. With artisans and teachers beside them, children shape clay, paint blue-and-white patterns and find the Chinese words to explain a choice that is entirely their own.
武康路的一扇窗、土布上的一组配色、温室里的一片叶子，都可以成为创作的开始。孩子带着问题走进博物馆、工坊与汽车科技现场，再把在上海积累的灵感带到景德镇。师傅示范，老师陪着提问；从泥土在手中成形，到青花落在备好的瓷坯上，把自己的灵感变成作品，也用中文讲清创作背后的想法。

The RICH Method · 学过的中文，带到生活里
Before every outing, teachers demonstrate and rehearse a language quest, then guide students at their own level. Beginners start with observation and prompt cards; more experienced speakers follow up, compare and explain. One-to-one Chinese tutoring—a RICH commitment for over a decade—gives each child time to practise with a teacher and make an expression their own.
每次外出都有中文任务。老师先示范、陪练，再按水平带队实践：初学者从观察和词句卡起步，已有基础的孩子尝试追问、比较和说明理由。坚持十余年的一对一中文辅导，让每个孩子都有和老师细细打磨表达的时间。
A question asked with a little more courage can become a conversation, and a conversation can become a friendship. Through a handmade piece, a shared meal or a story told in their own words, children find a sense of belonging in another culture—and moments of beauty to enjoy together, whatever language they grew up speaking.

Around our table · 尝新，也有熟悉的味道
Learn to make xiaolongbao with the chef, explore Jiading’s local flavours and choose dinner alongside university students. Japanese, Korean and Western meals add familiar favourites to Shanghai’s traditional table. In Jingdezhen, discover jiaozi ba rice dumplings, jianshui ba rice cakes and home-style Jiangxi dishes, asking about the ingredients and sharing the day’s creations over dinner.
跟师傅学做小笼包，尝尝嘉定地方风味，也和大学生一起去食堂选餐。日餐、韩餐与西餐穿插其间，让孩子吃得丰富，也有熟悉的味道。到了景德镇，再从饺子粑、碱水粑与赣味家常菜认识瓷都生活，问问食材、交换口味，也聊聊今天手里慢慢成形的作品。

The RICH team welcomes you at Shanghai airport and accompanies you to camp at East China Normal University. Unpack, freshen up and take time to rest. Teachers help everyone settle into the campus and get to know a first new friend.

Evening晚间
Share a Shanghai welcome dinner, exchange hometown stories and discover a common interest across the table. Hear what the coming days hold, from the shapes of city buildings to clay taking shape in your own hands, and talk about what you hope to create.

Begin with a three-hour Chinese lesson, as teachers get to know each learner and arrange suitable small groups. Practise introductions, asking for directions and following simple instructions, ready to explore the campus and try Chinese kung fu together.
上午3小时中文课中，老师了解每个孩子的中文基础，安排适合的小班学习。练习介绍自己、询问方向和听懂简单口令，为下午的校园探索与功夫体验做好准备。
After lunch午间至午后
After a campus lunch and a short rest, meet your teacher for one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time. Rehearse a question you would like to ask and practise a few movement words, with support matched to your own starting point.
校内午餐、短休后，和老师进行一对一中文辅导，完成作业。把想问的问题先说一遍，练习几个动作词，让每个孩子都能带着适合自己的表达走进下午的活动。
Afternoon & evening下午至晚间
Find your way around ECNU with teachers and new friends, then learn kung fu movements together. Watch, listen and try a short sequence, using Chinese to help a partner remember a movement. Campus conversations continue over dinner alongside university students.
跟着老师和新朋友认识华师大校园，再一起学习中国功夫。看动作、听口令、试着把一小段招式连起来，用中文提醒伙伴一个动作；晚餐时和大学生走进食堂，继续聊聊校园生活。

The Campus Map You Make TogetherUse a rehearsed question to find a campus landmark, then explain one kung fu movement to a partner. Beginners can point and use action cards; more confident speakers can give a short sequence of instructions and check that their partner understands.

Dinner with University StudentsJoin university students in the campus dining hall, choose a meal from the counters and find a place together. A favourite dish can start a conversation about classes, clubs and the everyday rhythm of university life.

In a three-hour Chinese lesson, explore words for colour, shape and the small details that catch your eye. Practise saying what you notice and why you like it, turning a simple description into a point of view you can share.
上午3小时中文课，学习描述颜色、形状和让自己停下脚步的细节。从“我看到了什么”到“我为什么喜欢”，把一次观察说清楚，也慢慢形成自己的审美表达。
After lunch午间至午后
After lunch and a short rest, use one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time to prepare your own observation phrases. Choose words you can use confidently, then try adding a comparison or a reason before heading into the neighbourhood with teachers.
午餐、短休后，进行一对一中文辅导并完成作业。和老师准备适合自己的观察用语，先把看见的细节说准确，再试着多加一个比较或理由，带着自己的视角出发。

Walk beneath the plane trees around Wukang Road and Anfu Road, noticing curved balconies, doorways and the way old buildings meet creative shopfronts. Pause to photograph a detail, compare it with a friend’s choice and ask about something that catches your curiosity.

During a three-hour Chinese lesson, learn to describe materials, patterns and the possible uses of an object. Practise introducing one favourite item, then asking a thoughtful question about the choices behind its shape or decoration.
上午3小时中文课，学习介绍一件器物的材质、纹样与用途。选一个自己喜欢的物品说一说，再练习追问它为什么这样设计，为下午走进博物馆准备自己的问题。

After lunch and a short rest, meet your teacher for one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time. Work with a picture or a short description, building the words and sentences that will help you explain what makes an object special.
午餐、短休后，进行一对一中文辅导，完成作业。借助图片或一小段介绍，和老师打磨自己的观察用语，让一个喜欢的器物细节也能被别人听懂。
Afternoon & evening下午至晚间
Explore Shanghai Museum East, looking closely at ceramics and Jiangnan craftsmanship. Notice how a vessel’s curve, a painted motif or a small handle can change the whole design. Collect sketches and observations that may find a new life in your own pottery later in the journey.
走进上海博物馆东馆，细看陶瓷与江南工艺里的线条和纹样。一道弧线、一处图案、一个小小的把手，怎样改变了一件器物的样子？把观察画下来、记下来，为之后的陶艺创作积累灵感。

The Pattern Inspiration ArchiveChoose one object and collect a material word, a pattern detail and a question about its design. Beginners can build an illustrated word card; more experienced speakers can explain which detail they might reinterpret in their own ceramic work.

After a campus lunch and a short rest, enjoy one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time. Practise your own questions about folding, filling and flavour, with time to repeat a useful phrase until it feels comfortable to say.
校内午餐、短休后，进行一对一中文辅导并完成作业。围绕包法、馅料和口味准备自己的问题，把一句实用表达再练熟一点，下午就能更从容地和师傅交流。
Afternoon & evening下午至晚间
Explore Yuyuan’s old-town streets before joining a xiaolongbao masterclass. The chef teaches the craft personally and patiently, demonstrating delicate pleats and helping each learner try again. Feel how a thin wrapper becomes a little parcel of broth, and ask about the detail you find hardest.
走进豫园老城厢，再跟师傅上一堂小笼包大师课。师傅亲自示范、耐心带教，一点点陪孩子捏出褶子、调整手势，在反复尝试中体会薄皮包住汤汁的门道，也把最想请教的问题说出口。

The Flavour Makers’ StudioExplain a step while your hands do the work, then give your xiaolongbao a short Chinese introduction. Start with ingredients and action words, or describe a mistake, the chef’s advice and what changed when you tried again.

A three-hour Chinese lesson introduces the tools and action words of making things by hand. Practise asking an artisan to demonstrate a step, then describe a colour combination and the feeling you would like your own work to convey.
上午3小时中文课，认识手作工具与动作词，练习请师傅示范一个步骤。再试着介绍一组配色，说说自己希望作品带给别人怎样的感觉，让创作从一个清楚的想法开始。
Lunch & a pause午间至午后
Have lunch on campus and take a proper break. Before setting out, teachers help you review the words for the tools and colours you plan to use, and prepare one question about how cotton becomes cloth.

Visit the Huang Daopo Memorial Hall to discover the story of cotton-textile craft, then try a traditional homespun-cloth project with an artisan’s guidance. Look closely at the texture and pattern, make your own colour choices and see how a practical material can carry a personal idea.
走进黄道婆纪念馆，了解棉纺织手艺，再跟师傅体验土布手作。摸摸质地、看看纹样，认真选一组配色，让朴素的布料在自己的双手里多一点个性，也多一个能用中文讲述的故事。

Lunch & a pause午间至午后
Enjoy lunch on campus and a midday rest before the afternoon walk. Look through the old photographs together and choose a building detail to search for, leaving space in your notebook for the view you will find today.

Follow Suzhou Creek towards Waibaidu Bridge, matching older photographs with the streets and buildings around you. After dinner, board a Huangpu River cruise and watch the two banks light up. Share the Chinese voice-over you created as Shanghai’s familiar landmarks take on an evening glow.

After lunch and a short rest, work with your teacher in one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time. Build a short plant introduction at your own level, then choose a question or a comparison you would like to explore in the garden.

Explore the greenhouse gardens at Shanghai Expo Culture Park, looking for leaf veins, curves and unexpected colour combinations. Sketch one small detail and compare it with a friend’s discovery. A shape found in a living plant may become the beginning of your own blue-and-white design in Jingdezhen.
走进上海世博文化公园温室花园，寻找叶脉、曲线与意想不到的配色。画下一处小细节，和伙伴交换发现；今天在植物身上看见的一个形状，也许就会成为景德镇青花创作的起点。

Share a local lunch in Jiading and take a break from the midday heat. Compare the cars or features that interested you most, and organise the questions you would like to ask during the afternoon’s visit.
在嘉定享用当地午餐，避开午间暑热、稍作休整。和伙伴比较最感兴趣的车型或设计，整理下午想提出的问题，让上午看见的细节变成下一步的探索。
Afternoon下午
Visit Shanghai International Circuit and explore intelligent-driving technology through staff-led explanations, demonstrations and interactive activities. Observe the track, investigate how vehicles sense their surroundings and discuss what tomorrow’s transport might need from the people who design it.
参访上海国际赛车场，在工作人员引导下，通过讲解、演示与互动认识智能驾驶。观察赛道，了解车辆怎样感知道路环境，再想一想：如果由自己设计未来交通，最想解决什么问题？
Evening晚间
Gather over a Jiading dinner and give your future vehicle a first Chinese introduction. Explain who it would help and one feature that matters to you, then listen to your friends’ ideas before returning to camp together.
嘉定晚餐时，为自己的未来汽车做一次简短中文介绍：它能帮助谁，哪一个功能最重要？也听听伙伴不一样的想法，把今天的科技发现带回营地。

The Future Mobility Design LabAsk how one car feature works, then compare a traditional vehicle with a new-energy design. Draw a future transport idea and introduce it in Chinese: beginners can label key parts, while confident speakers explain a problem and defend a design choice.
未来出行设计局请教一个汽车原理，比较传统汽车与新能源设计。画下自己的未来出行创意，用中文标注关键部分，或进一步说明它解决什么问题、自己为什么这样设计。

A Taste of JiadingA Jiading home-style lunch and a dinner of Nanxiang xiaolongbao with warm dishes frame the day’s discoveries. A small piece of Jiading square cake adds a local sweet note between conversations about tomorrow’s cars.

Spend the day at Shanghai Disney Resort in teacher-led groups, enjoying favourite attractions and discovering the design details of different story worlds. Talk with friends about the characters you love, and use Chinese in real encounters as teachers guide and support you along the way.
老师分组带队畅玩上海迪士尼，和伙伴走进喜欢的故事世界，也留意角色、场景与色彩怎样一起讲故事。在真实的游园交流中使用中文，遇到想说却还不会说的地方，老师就在身边陪着试。
Meals & returning to camp用餐与返营
Take breaks for lunch and dinner inside the park, with time to recharge between adventures. Share one character detail that stayed with you and one Chinese exchange you were glad to try, then return to camp with the group to rest.
在园区安排午餐、晚餐与休息，为一天的游玩补充能量。说说今天最难忘的一个角色细节、一次自己勇敢尝试的中文交流，再和老师、伙伴一起返营休息。

The Disney Character Design BureauChoose a favourite character and explain how its colours, gestures or setting help tell a story. With your teacher’s support, ask a fellow visitor which character they like, then compare answers using a simple sentence or a reason of your own.
迪士尼角色观察局选一个喜欢的角色，说说它的颜色、动作或场景怎样讲故事。在老师支持下，问问游客喜欢哪个角色，再用一句话作简单比较，或说明自己的理由，分享彼此的选择。
