Trade stories with a hutong family, climb the Great Wall with friends and practise tai chi beneath Shougang’s striking steel structures. Then take an overnight train towards desert dunes and a cool grassland morning. With teachers close by, Chinese becomes a way to ask, to encourage and to belong—wherever the next conversation begins.
从胡同人家的餐桌，到慕田峪长城的山脊，再到首钢园的赛博功夫；一趟夜卧之后，眼前又展开响沙湾的沙海与辉腾锡勒的清晨。老师陪孩子把中文用在请教、合作与相互鼓励中，认识不同地方的生活，也发现自己能在陌生的风景里，交到新的朋友。

The RICH Method · 学过的中文，带到生活里
Before every outing, teachers demonstrate and rehearse a language quest, then guide students at their own level. Beginners start with observation and prompt cards; more experienced speakers follow up, compare and explain. One-to-one Chinese tutoring—a RICH commitment for over a decade—gives each child time to practise with a teacher and make an expression their own.
每次外出都有中文任务。老师先示范、陪练，再按水平带队实践：初学者从观察和词句卡起步，已有基础的孩子尝试追问、比较和说明理由。坚持十余年的一对一中文辅导，让每个孩子都有和老师细细打磨表达的时间。
A question asked with a little more courage can become a conversation, and a conversation can become a friendship. Through a handmade piece, a shared meal or a story told in their own words, children find a sense of belonging in another culture—and moments of beauty to enjoy together, whatever language they grew up speaking.
勇敢问出的一个问题，可能成为一段对话、一份友谊。一件亲手做的作品、一张围坐的餐桌，让陌生的文化渐渐有了亲切感。孩子把所见所感写进笔记、讲成故事，也发现：即使说着不同的母语，总有值得一起欣赏的美。

Make dumplings with a hutong family, wrap a Peking duck pancake and share roast lamb leg with friends on the grasslands. Conveyor-belt sushi, Korean grilled beef and Western favourites bring variety and familiar comforts. At PKU, dinner with university students offers a glimpse of everyday campus life; in Inner Mongolia, milk tea and oat-flour dishes open another conversation about home.

Evening晚间
Share a welcome dinner and join Chinese icebreaker games with your teachers and new friends. Residential staff help everyone find their way around camp, settle into the routine and get a good night's rest.

A Chinese assessment helps teachers place you in a class that fits. In the first three-hour lesson, practise introducing yourself and describing a place, ready to share a favourite view with friends from different parts of the world.
通过中文水平测试，进入适合自己的班级。第一堂3小时中文课里，练习自我介绍和风景描述，准备把眼前的湖光与家乡的景色，说给来自不同地方的新伙伴听。
After lunch午间至午后
After lunch on campus and a short rest, work on homework during one-to-one Chinese tutoring. Your teacher helps you practise a question about the gardens and choose the words you need to describe a view in your own way.
校内午餐、短休后，在一对一中文辅导中完成作业。和老师准备一句想问的园林问题，再练练描述风景的词句，带着适合自己程度的表达去认识北京。
Afternoon & evening下午至晚间
Take a boat across Kunming Lake at the Summer Palace, then walk along the Long Corridor with your teachers. Look closely at painted scenes and garden details, discover the names of things that catch your eye and trade stories of landscapes back home.

In Chinese class, practise asking about a handmade object, a favourite flavour or a shopkeeper’s work. Listen to your partner’s answer and try a follow-up question, preparing to discover how Beijing’s old lanes connect with everyday life today.

After lunch and a short rest, work on homework and rehearse your craft-shop conversation during one-to-one Chinese tutoring. Practise an opening question, learn to ask for a demonstration and prepare one thing you can share about shopping at home.

Explore Nanluoguxiang’s traditional craft shops with your teachers. Ask a willing shopkeeper about an object that catches your eye, notice how QR-code ordering fits into an old lane, then gather over Peking duck to compare the stories you have discovered.

Climb Jingshan for a view across the Forbidden City and Beijing’s Central Axis. Dress in period costumes and film a short Chinese wuxia scene with your friends, bringing the morning’s dialogue to life against the city that inspired your story.
登上景山，俯瞰紫禁城与北京中轴线，看看屋顶与街巷怎样铺展成一座城。换上古装，和伙伴合作拍一段中文武侠短剧，让上午商量的台词走进眼前的江湖。

Spend a joyful day at Universal Beijing in teacher-led groups, stepping into favourite movie worlds with friends. Then take a brave step beyond your own group: meet Chinese Gen-Z park-goers and discover the characters, stories and imagined worlds you love in common.
老师分组带队畅玩北京环球影城，和伙伴走进喜爱的电影世界。再勇敢迈出熟悉的小圈子，与中国Z世代游客互动，从角色、故事和共同喜爱的电影世界聊起。
Meals & return to camp用餐与返营
Take breaks for lunch and dinner inside the park, with time to sit down, cool off and recharge. Return to camp with your teachers, then share a favourite moment or an unexpected interview answer with friends as the day winds down.

In Chinese class, explore action words and practise explaining a simple sequence. Ask how something works, listen to a partner’s instructions and refine your own, preparing to look closely at the ways a robot learns a movement.
中文课上认识动作词，练习把一个过程说清楚。试着问“它怎样学会这个动作”，再和伙伴轮流说指令、听指令，为下午走进机器人训练现场做好准备。

After lunch on campus and a short rest, work through homework and practise your questions in one-to-one Chinese tutoring. Your teacher helps you turn curiosity about robots into clear words, from naming a movement to asking why it needs practice.
校内午餐、短休后，在一对一中文辅导中完成作业，练练想向工作人员请教的问题。从一个动作名称到“为什么需要这样训练”，把好奇变成自己说得出的中文。
Afternoon & evening下午至晚间
Visit the humanoid robot data training centre in Shijingshan. Watch how a movement is demonstrated and recorded, try an operation with staff guidance, and discover how small adjustments help a robot work towards an everyday task.
走进石景山人形机器人数据训练中心，看看动作怎样被示范与记录。在工作人员指导下体验操作，观察一次小小调整带来的变化，发现机器人怎样学习完成日常任务。

After lunch on campus, take a quiet midday break before heading out as the heat eases. With your teachers, look over the visit’s language prompts and think of a family food story you would enjoy sharing with your hosts.

Visit a hutong home to learn a traditional craft with your hosts. Watch as they personally show you how to wrap dumplings, try each fold yourself and gather around the dinner table to exchange stories of home and everyday life.
走进胡同人家，向主人学一门非遗手艺，再亲手学包饺子。看清一个捏合动作，自己慢慢试，最后把一盘饺子端上桌，在家常话里分享彼此熟悉的生活。
Evening晚间
See the Bird’s Nest lit up against the summer sky, then join your friends for relaxed frisbee passing in a suitable open space. Teachers organise the groups as you practise calling, listening and moving together, enjoying the rhythm of a Beijing evening.
晚餐后去看鸟巢夜色，在合适的开阔场地开展轻松的飞盘传接。老师组织分组，大家听口令、叫伙伴、找配合，让白天的中文交流延续成北京夏夜里的欢笑与默契。

Begin with one-to-one Chinese tutoring and homework time. Rehearse a way to encourage a teammate and a few words for the mountain views, then set off for Mutianyu with your teachers. A countryside lunch and a shaded rest give everyone time to recharge before going up the mountain.
上午先完成一对一中文辅导与作业，练练鼓励伙伴、描述山景的词句，再随老师出发前往慕田峪。抵达后享用山间家常午餐，留出遮阴休整的时间，准备一起登上长城。
Afternoon下午
Ride the chairlift above green hills, then explore Mutianyu’s watchtowers with your teachers and friends. Follow the wall as it traces the ridgeline, pause to take in the view and cheer on a teammate. A winding toboggan descent adds a playful finish; teachers arrange the way down around each student’s suitability and the day’s operating conditions.
乘吊椅索道越过青翠山坡，和老师、伙伴一起走上慕田峪长城。沿着山脊寻找城墙的走向，登上敌楼看远山，也为身边的伙伴加一声油。下山时，蜿蜒的滑道为长城之旅添一份追风的欢笑；老师会结合孩子情况与当天运行条件组织下山。
Evening晚间
Return to camp for a shower, dinner and an unhurried evening. Share a moment when someone helped you, or describe the view you most want to remember, before settling down for a good night’s rest.
返营后洗澡、用晚餐，给身体留出好好休息的时间。聊聊今天谁给过自己鼓励，或说说最想记住的一幅山景，带着登城的满足感结束这一天。

In Chinese class, practise the words that guide a movement: turn, step, open and slow down. Plan a short introduction for a film that brings an old Chinese art into an unexpected setting, and give your group’s story a title.
中文课上练习转身、迈步、展开、放慢等动作表达，商量一段短片的开场白。当传统功夫遇上充满未来感的场景，给小组的作品取一个自己的名字。
After lunch午间至午后
Have lunch on campus and take a midday break. With your teachers, plan who will introduce the scene, demonstrate a movement and film your group, then head out as the strongest heat eases.
校内午餐后先休整，和老师商量谁介绍场景、谁示范动作、谁来拍摄。避开午间最热的时段再出发，让每个人都能在小组创作里找到自己的位置。

Practise tai chi beside Shougang’s Olympic Big Air jump, where flowing movements meet dramatic steel structures. Learn a sequence from your instructor, then create a 30-second Chinese vlog with your friends: a little kungfu, a striking backdrop and your own voice connecting the two.
来到首钢园冬奥大跳台旁，跟老师学一段太极，让舒展的动作与钢铁建筑同框。和伙伴合作拍一支30秒中文VLOG：用自己的声音介绍动作与场景，把传统功夫拍出属于这一代的赛博气质。

Explore the creative spaces of 798, noticing how old factory buildings frame new ideas. In a guided street-art workshop, bring your Chinese phrase to life with colour and lettering, then introduce your work and discover what your friends chose to say.
走进798艺术区，看看旧厂房怎样容纳新的创意。在老师指导的涂鸦创作中，把自己的中文短句变成颜色与字形，再向伙伴介绍作品，听听同一个夏天里不同的人想表达什么。

在响沙湾尽兴游玩，夜宿辉腾锡勒，迎着草原晨风继续认识辽阔中国。
Morning上午
Arrive in Baotou, have breakfast and travel by coach to Xiangshawan, Whistling Dune Bay. The desert cable car carries you towards rolling dunes, opening a landscape unlike anything you have seen from the streets of Beijing.
早间抵达包头，安排早餐后乘大巴前往响沙湾。坐上沙漠索道，脚下渐渐铺开起伏沙丘，让孩子从北京的街巷走进另一种辽阔。
Daytime日间
Give the day to the desert: ride a camel, try sand sliding and explore the outdoor amusements of Xiansha Island in teacher-led groups. Stop for lunch and shaded breaks between activities, with time to enjoy the place, cheer for friends and ask the staff about life and work among the dunes.
把白天留给响沙湾，老师分组带队骑骆驼、体验滑沙，再到仙沙岛尽兴游玩。活动之间穿插午餐、遮阴休息与补水，既有为伙伴加油的热闹，也有向工作人员请教沙漠生活的时间。

Brush off the sand, freshen up and have dinner before travelling directly to Huitengxile Grassland by coach. Settle into your group’s Mongolian-style yurt accommodation, shower and rest, ready to wake up close to the wide-open landscape you will explore tomorrow.

After breakfast, meet the riding team while the grassland morning is still cool. Learn to sit, hold the reins and communicate with your guide, then ride in groups suited to your experience. Look across the meadows, horses and distant wind turbines, and hear how local people describe the place they call home.

Say goodbye to your teachers and friends, with parent handovers or airport transfers arranged around each family’s confirmed plans. Take home new friendships, your own Chinese stories and the confidence to begin another conversation.
